Give Us a Hand at the State Capitol!

The State Bar of Georgia’s Legislative Program is exclusively funded by voluntary contributions from our members.

We encourage Georgia lawyers to donate annually by contributing a suggested amount on their yearly license fee statement. Without our members’ support, the State Bar cannot maintain its presence at the Georgia General Assembly and cannot continue to advocate effective updates to Georgia law, like the 2013 changes to Georgia’s evidence code or the 2017 Uniform Power of Attorney Act—just to name a couple. We are grateful for your support!

Consider Supporting the State Bar's Legislative Program

The State Bar of Georgia's Legislative Program is funded exclusively through voluntary contributions from Bar members. The program operates pursuant to Standing Board Policy 100 and advances positions approved through the State Bar's legislative review and governance process. These funds help support legislative programming, member education and engagement, and the Bar’s governmental affairs activities.

All legislative activities are conducted in accordance with the State Bar’s mission and the constitutional requirements established by Keller v. State Bar of California, including limitations on the use of mandatory Bar dues for legislative advocacy. Contributions to the Legislative Fund are entirely voluntary and are not required as a condition of State Bar membership.
